  1. Theme From The Last Waltz Arranged By [Horns] – John Simon Arranged By [Strings] – John Simon Dobro – Richard Manuel Electric Bass [Standup] – Rick Danko Harp Guitar – Robbie Robertson Mandolin – Levon Helm Organ [Pipe] – Garth Hudson: Up On Cripple Creek: Who Do You Love Vocals – Ronnie Hawkins Written-By – Ellas /5(2).
  2. View credits, reviews, tracks and shop for the CD release of The Last Waltz on Discogs. Label: Rhino Records (2) - R2 • Format: 4x, CD Album, Reissue, Repress Box Set • Country: US • Genre: Rock • Style: Folk Rock, Country Rock, Rock & Roll/5(35).
  3. The fourth disc adds rehearsals to The Last Waltz Suite that closed the original release. The question for those who, like me, have the original soundtrack album, is, “Is this worth it?” The answer is maybe. I'll give The Last Waltz 4 CD box a three and a half star rating/5().
  4. Theme From The Last Waltz Arranged By [Horns] – John Simon Arranged By [Strings] – John Simon Dobro – Richard Manuel Electric Upright Bass – Rick Danko Harp Guitar – Robbie Robertson Mandolin – Levon Helm Organ [Pipe] – Garth Hudson: Up On Cripple Creek: Who Do You Love Vocals – Ronnie Hawkins Written-By 5/5(1).
  5. Reissue of this four CD box set. On Thanksgiving Day , The Band (Rick Danko, Levon Helm, Hudson, Richard Manuel, and Robertson) took the stage for the very last time at the Winterland Theatre in San Francisco for The Last Waltz, which has gone on to become one of the most heralded performances of all time/5().
  6. The Last Waltz Suite even gets touched up every once and while, notably cutting part of Helm’s harmony with Danko from The Weight, and bringing down the pitch on the whole track, and then in the film version putting Helm’s harmony back in and bringing the pitch back up, only to bring it back down when the harmony is finished/5().
  7. As a Last Waltz addict (saw the movie 4 times in , have watched the DVD innumerable times), thought I'd try the remastered CD just to see, and WOW the sound is way better than previous versions. Only bummer is many of the songs from the original 4 disc set are not included in this 2 disc set, like "Acadian Driftwood"/5().
  8. But as an album, The Last Waltz soundtrack had to compete with the Band's earlier live album, Rock of Ages, with which it bears a certain superficial resemblance -- both found the group trying to create something grander than the standard-issue live double, and both featured the group beefed up by additional musicians.8/
  9. The Last Waltz is the second live album by The Band, released on Warner Bros. Records in , catalogue 3WS It is the soundtrack to the film of the same name, and the final album by the original configuration of the Band. It peaked at #16 on the Billboard
